At a Glance
Big Springs Educational Therapy Center and School has been providing help for children and adults with learning disabilities for over 35 years. We provide educational assessments to diagnose learning disabilities and give recommendations for programs, compensations, and strategies to help children who are struggling academically. We also provide one-on-one individualized therapy sessions, a full-time non-public school for grades K-8, a half-time middle school/high school support program, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and resources and information on learning disabilities.

Our Strategies
Learning disabilities such as dyslexia are neither “cured” nor “outgrown.” We use proven developmental, integrative, and multisensory approaches to remediate learning difficulties, specializing in dysgraphia, dyslexia, and other language-based learning differences. Our Center and School provides individualized services based on each client’s needs through the following:

  • Educational Therapy

  • Speech and Language Therapy

  • Language Enrichment

  • ABA Therapy

Our goals are to:

  • Aid clients in understanding their own learning styles

  • Foster good self-esteem and confidence in their ability to learn

  • Teach the use of technological assistance as appropriate (computer skills, electronic spell checker, etc.)

  • Help students develop lifelong strategies for learning

What our families are saying

  • "Our Bobby loved and LOVES Big Springs School. He was a student there 3rd through 5th grade. He didn't want to leave, nor did we, but we knew he had been given the tools he needed to move on and conquer public school. Bobby is now an honor roll student, GPA 4.0, and in the top ten of his class."

    Robert & Heidi Shields

  • "She will now have the opportunity to achieve her goals and dreams, as so many children never do. Big Springs has made this possible for Hailee."

    Jennifer L.

  • “Our son is in 7th grade at Big Springs – and thanks to Big Springs, he is thriving and progressing. We found this amazing school five years ago. When our son arrived in 2nd grade, he needed to learn to read and write while challenged with the ability to focus and maintain attention."
